We stayed home for TBCØ church this am, hoping Olive would get a good nap. She did nap but it wasn’t a great one. We also got to FaceTime H for her birthday.
After church we went to a pool party for the boys’ sweet friend Kai’s birthday.
It was Olive’s first pool party. She seemed to love it, she loves people and being social.
She loved kicking her toes in the water (which I heard was very cold).
Kai is the sweetest to Olive- always talking to her and so, so gentle with her.
Olive didn’t love going this deep into the water because it was too cold. But Luca loved holding her in the water. 😍
The goody bags had those funny stringy things that were a huge hit! The boys played with them the rest of the day. They were beards, hair, fidget toys, and weapons, mostly weapons.

I loved this Monday morning prayer.
The boys, Jack in particular, love that toy they got in their goody bags.
Cooking with my girl in her kitchen.
I was doing Jack’s reading on the floor while Olive played. As he was reading, she grabbed a book and was pointing to it pretending to read also. I could not handle how cute it was.
After dinner we all went for a walk and had a little dance party on this table and the walls. The boys are so fun!

Olive looks bigger in her high chair with each passing day.
Scaling back at the gym and in life has been so helpful- I haven’t had any pain!! I didn’t realize how constant the pain was until it stopped. It’s so hard to listen to my body and not my mind (I like to get things done and push myself), but man it’s so good. I feel so grateful for this lesson, not just as my body heals but for how it will carry over into everyday life too. The last few weeks have given “operating from a place of rest” new meaning.
Olive was super into her strawberries at lunch.
Playing, pouring tea, sharing sips with my girl. And teaching Jack a reading lesson. The best kind of ordinary day.
Her curls!
Olive prefers to feed herself but the spaghetti was tricky for her to pick up. I offered her bites on a spoon but since she prefers to feed herself, she wasn’t eating a ton. She’d try to take the spoon from me, put it into her mouth in an effort to feed herself and then hand it back for me to load up with the next bite, which was so cute (and impressive) but she didn’t actually successfully get many of the bites off the spoon and into her mouth. Eventually, I figured out that if I held a longer piece for her to grab that felt enough like she was doing it herself and she could actually do it herself with a bigger piece/better grip. Then she devoured it!

Gym baby. I’ve been able to workout everyday and walk at home and not have pain!
After school, Olive was asleep and I ate the most delicious snack while the boys played out back.
It didn’t last long, they came back up and sat with me in the shade for a few sweet moments before I got Olive who woke.
Making dinner and Olive kept trying to get to me. She’d stand at our makeshift gate and talk to me. If I didn’t have hot oil on the stove, I would’ve scooped her up to help.

After our chiro appt, my mom followed us home for a donut date.
Taco night is the messiest night.
When Olive is ready for me, she is READY for me. I was cleaning the humidifier and Lee was giving her laundry basket rides to distract her until I was done.
She woke shortly after going to sleep and she was very upset. So we got extra snuggles.
Friday, May 26
Doing school work at his desk and I just want to eat him.
Her curls 😍
After grocery pick up, Olive helped with the broccoli.
I made the dolphin noise to get her to look
And then she did it back! We laughed so hard.
100%
Sweet, sleeping baby.

Sarah was in town and we ran into her at Whole Foods. The boys were beyond excited to see her. The woman working in the floral department witnessed their reunion and commented on how heartwarming it was.
Cutie girl! After the gym and Whole Foods, when Olivr woke from her nap we went to my parents for lunch.
Proud Pops.
We were all very excited to get to see Auntie.
She bought them a book and read it to them.
Then we all headed back to our house for a pizza and movie night so I could put Olive to bed.
