I put Olive’s first bow clip/barrette in this am for fun and we (me, Lee, Luca, and Jack) all melted.
Lee went for a run and looked so handsome and strong.
Olive didn’t sleep well the night before and woke with a pretty runny nose/eyes so we stayed home resting this am. Jack pushed her around the apartment in her packnplay and she loved it. She waved to me like the queen she is.
In the afternoon we went over to my parents to celebrate Abby’s birthday. Luca was so proud and excited to give his card to her because this was his first time drawing a portrait of someone else. He was so pleased with how it came out (and so was I).
Monday, March 13
My favorite lifting buddy.
We had a cold/allergies/teething going on and this day Luca felt his worst. He kept that beanie on all day because his head felt cold- which is very foreign for him since he runs hot all the time.
Olive and I spent much of our day here-pulling herself up, falling down on her bum, and repeat.
She also tried so hard to get over my leg but could not figure it out. She tried pushing it, kicking it, climbing over.

I was excited for this workout until our coach said it was a CrossFit benchmark workout. That’s when I realized it was going to be harder than I thought.
Goodness, I could eat her up!
She loves to chew on/put her sleepsack in her mouth. I had to switch from the Kyte baby sleep bags because the zipper is at the top and she was putting it in her mouth and the paint on the zipper came off. When I try to get her to nap without her sleepsack, she can’t sleep. I think it comforts her to do that and helps her get to sleep.
She’s just so much fun! Always making us laugh or swoon or both.
The boys have spent a lot of time over the last few days arguing. So while I showered, I had them work separately listing out all the reasons why they loved their brother. When I got out of the shower, they were so excited to share what they wrote with one another. And they got along the rest of the day! With his, Luca included a note explaining he had hidden golden ticket. The person who finds it, he would make their lunch and a second person of their choosing. So he made Jack and Olive their lunches, served them, and did a little butler bow when he did saying “enjoy” in French.
Wednesday, March 15
Drumming the wipes to get our girl to smile.
The boys love to get to hold Olive.
Gym time next to my best girl who laughed the entire hour.
“I’m always kind to Luca because he treats me the way I want to be treated.”
Jack got his turn at a one-on-one date and he chose to go to a bounce house/arcade with Lee. Then they grabbed Jack’s dinner of choice (grilled cheese). Luca, Olive, and I stayed home and watched a movie together.
The way she looks at pasta with marinara sauce kills me. She squeals and jumps and beams when her bite is headed towards her. I think it must be her favorite.

The night before, Lee challenged me to see whoever could win the workout this am. Whoever won got to choose what the loser had to do. I tried so hard but definitely couldn’t beat him. I was, however, proud I did an 85# barbell in a workout. It was my first time doing that since having Olive.
In Jack’s response I love 1. Lee’s beard 2. Olive in a stroller 3. My glasses 4. That he thinks going to a jungle sounds fun and wants me to come (😬)
Lunch with my girl (the boys ate before us). See how she’s eyeing that ziti?!
Jesus juking and so cute all in one.
After lunch, we went to hobby lobby to get things we needed for Abby’s shower. While there, Olive sat in a shopping cart for the first time. She was so pleased with the experience and with her biggest fans cheering for her as she did. After Hobby Lobby, we went to my parents house for more shower prep.
Bedtime snugs.
Friday, March 17
I realized I was unintentionally wearing a shade of green on St. Patrick’s Day, so I sent this to my family in the group text where we were discussing it.
After the gym and Olive’s nap, we went to my parents for more shower prep. Olive’s wearing pants that my best friend sent, pants her daughters wore and that is just so special to me.
Lately Olive will whip toys up over her head and I wonder if it’s because that’s what she sees me (us) do at the gym. Or maybe it’s just developmental.
Sarah and Val worked so hard on a paper chain wall vision I had. They’re the best.
We were wiped when we got home (or at least Olive and I were) and she fell fast asleep on me. Which I just soaked right up.
Saturday, March 18
Lee took all three kids to the gym by himself (his first time) and I got ready for the shower. My mom picked me up and we prepped for the big event. Lee brought the kids to my parents after Olive’s morning nap so I could nurse her then he took all three to lunch, to grab groceries (because the sweet man saw things we were low on and knew my grocery days had been switched because of our weekend plans), then to Target. Meanwhile, at my parents we hosted the sweetest shower for my brother, sister-in-law, and their baby girl.
Luca asked Lee to take this pre-shower. He looks so grown to me!
My people arrived just in time for the photoshoot wall (which we took for the “guest book”)
These crack me up. It happens every time we take a picture together.
