The boys discovered wii boxing and loved it. They giggled the sweetest giggles.
I saw on the internet a while ago a way to take your children out for one on one time regularly using their birth day of each month. Luca’s birthday is July 19, so on February 19 he got to have a mommy or daddy date. Luca chose to go out with Lee, so Jack and I had an at home date. Lee took Luca to lunch, to play disc golf, and to a playground. I made lunch for Jack, Olive, and me, we snuggled while I nursed Olive and watched his favorite shows. Then we played video games together followed by uno while Olive napped.
When I took Olive from Jack here to put her down for a nap, she cried! She wanted to go back on his lap.
After they got back, the boys played out back with their friend. It was in the 50s but I was so cold.
The note the tooth fairy left for Jack the night before.
Making-dinner-kitchen-counter hangs.

Lee was off today so we got to go to the gym together.
Olive loves broccoli and watching her eat it and chow down on it is my favorite.
The boys played with their friend most of the day. Going inside to outside and repeat for the afternoon.
I did a lot of laundry and Olive helped.
Olive woke because she had filled her diaper so I got to nurse and rock her back to sleep. I was so grateful for all of that. I know that rocking her back to sleep is fleeting, so I soak up anytime I get to. No matter the cost (in this case, my own sleep).

I was so impressed with Luca’s drawing. He’s getting so much better at drawing arms, legs, hands, and feet.
I asked Luca to talk to her for a minute, and I walked back to see him inside the pack-n-play with her.
The boys did a magnatiles building challenge and worked so hard on it.
I worked hard at keeping Olive from accidentally knocking it over.
Their selfie attempt keeps making me laugh.
A successful bridge!
For some reason, Olive wouldn’t go to sleep at her bedtime. I think she’s teething and maybe that’s why. Regardless, she was happy and content to just sit on our laps and eventually fell asleep sitting up on Lee.

I was a bit nervous to do 100 box jumps, but then I did it!
I can’t believe our baby is 10 months!
Lee sent me this screen shot from a company wide email.
Lunch (and the point!).
My sister arrived this day for the weekend. We were all SO excited to see her. The boys made her sweet cards and when she got here, they both squeezed her so tightly. Luca cried while he hugged her. Living far from your people is so hard.
They wasted no time in talking to her and playing “shark bait” and giving her a walking tour of our apartment complex (which she’d seen before).
I asked Luca to set the table and he asked if he could write us notes on our napkins. Sweet boy.

Helping unload the dishwasher and being silly.
Lee worked from home this day and after his lunch walk (where he typically wears a hat), Olive had the most fun playing with him and his hat. She loves his hat for some reason.
And she loves him.
Watching Olive eat never gets old. I think it’s partly because she’s so cute and watching babies eat broccoli is the cutest thing ever. But I think more than that, I feel like I’m watching answered prayer before my very eyes. Since before she was born, I prayed she’d be a good eater. Throughout my entire pregnancy, I prayed that she’d be a good eater. Now, I get to watch her eat and do it so, so well. And I’m in awe. Of a baby who actually eats food and a God who heard my cries, loves me (and her), and answered me. Those Truths will never get old, no matter how many meals I watch her eat.
We switched up our plan this night because it was close to 80 outside. We took the kids to a park, picked up a grocery order and then dinner.
She ate her dinner, then Lee took her out of her highchair and she was eyeing his burrito bowl hard core. Then she ate his dinner too! Miracles on miracles, I can’t even count them all.
I’m not sure if she’s smiling at Luca or her water cup, she’s obsessed with both.

We didn’t have to rush out the door this am for the gym, so Luca got some good morning snuggles in with Olive.
We ran an errand and did school before lunch. Then Sarah came over. The boys went outside to play with her for quite a long time. By the time they got back it was time to head to FNL at the gym. I volunteered to judge and Lee and I did our 23.2 workouts too.
Some friends sent these of us doing the workout. I got to be Lee’s judge.
My favorite part of the video my friend sent of my 1RM lift was Lee in the corner. His cheering and encouragement and sheer joy when I hit the lift is just the best.

Gym hangs. Coach Tristan always says she’s doing toes to bar.
How she felt about the workout this day, sleepy
and over it.
After the gym, my mom, Sarah, and I got mani/pedis.
Lee sent me this selfie while I was out.
We all went to my parents for dinner which was low key and so nice. Olive has more space to crawl there and really seems to enjoy that.
My dad was drumming his hands on the table, as he usually does, with her. It was so sweet. After he’d finish a set, she’d clap!
Luca packed a puzzle to do with just auntie. Sweet boy. I think they got more time with her this weekend than I did, which they really seemed to need. I’m so grateful she made the choice to come visit and spend much of her time with them.
