We stayed home from church this day and had a slow morning, which was good for our immune systems.
Olive wakes and most days asks for a bow (that she picks) immediately. 😂
The sweatband kills me.
While waiting on us to get ready, they started to play a game together. She always walks over and touches their screens/toys/books and they just let her. They’re so sweet to her. They don’t just let her but ask if she wants a turn. My heart.
We went to open gym after lunch since we missed the gym the day before. We did a workout we had missed in class a few weeks prior that was one adapted for us from the games. It was tough! This was Lee’s time.
After the gym, we picked up groceries then went home to watch some football.
Post bath cute.

Luca’s artwork for daddy
At lunch, Olive kept calling for “dada” and pointing to him in our family picture.
My littlest bathroom pal.
For some reason it felt hard to get everything done this day. By the time I got everything done and looked up at the clock it was 5:15! Thankfully I made dinner and we got to Luca’s game (under the lights!) on time. I love watching him play. There was a player on the other team who was really good but a bit aggressive, so it was a different kind of game to watch.

The boys walked Olive to her nap and on the way Luca goes, “so, what’s your favorite bow?” Which I thought was so cute and sweet of him to think of and ask her.
Then Jack rocked and snuggled her and sang to her.
Our CC director challenged the kids to trace 1776 US maps, so the boys have been working on that.

CC day! Jack shared so confidently. They’re both retaining so much!
Luca drew this wolf upside down!

I had dr appts this day so Lee took the day off and was home with the kids. He sent me these from lunch time.
We all went to the gym together at night, which I loved. Going at night isn’t my first choice but getting to workout beside Lee always is.
Olive yelled for the boys while I was rocking her. Usually she’ll do that when we’ve forgotten kitty cat, her favorite stuffed animal to snuggle. But we had kitty cat. They came running and jumped at the chance to rock and snuggle her.
After Olive was in bed, we watched football together. The boys seem to enjoy watching football at night, as a way to delay their bedtimes. But I’ll take the snuggles and attention they give regardless. 😂
Friday, September 22
This day was full. Gym, school, Friday chores, extra adulting tasks, football.
Silly ruler fun.
Luca and Jack worked together to create this awesome TMNT design on Jack’s wall. It’s a whole scene!
And Luca’s side.
Luca had football practice, so Jack and Lee threw the ball around.
Saturday, September 23
We started the day with Jack’s football game. It was raining a little bit and pretty chilly but he played so well! He even caught a pass! Nana and Pops came to watch. Afterwards, we went to DD to get a donut.
Later in the afternoon I took the boys to Jack’s play place of choice (Jumping Jax) to meet up with his friend for his birthday celebration. They had so much fun and played hard for 2.5 hours. While they played, I had so much fun talking with my friends. I didn’t take any pictures because we were all having too much fun.
Afterwards, we went to my parents to get our 6th workout in this week since we missed the gym due to football. They watched the kids while Lee and I ran and bench pressed for 10 rounds. It was hard but fun.
Lee said if I’m smiling I’m not going fast enough, so I upped my speed. 😏
On the drive home I was taken aback by how God painted the sky. It was so pretty.
