Olive’s new thing is to try and get out of her sleep sack. She has successfully taken it all the way off multiple times. She shimmies herself right out! Sometimes it will be half way down her belly and she’ll fall asleep. When she wakes, she gets back to work getting it all the way off.
After church, they played video games together. Olive happily played along.
Shoe twins!
We spent the day resting, watching football, playing football, and doing some food prep. I put my phone down so I don’t have any pictures of the afternoon.
Bedtime snuggles.
Post bedtime dinner date with Lee while we watched the game.

Sleep sack? What sleep sack?
Luca had an 8 pm football game 45 minutes away, so I stayed home with Jack and Olive. Lee sent me these and kept me updated. Luca pulled his first flag from the best player on the other team! He was so proud and excited to get to tell me and Jack.
He’s in the red cleats on the right, in position and ready to go in the pre game warm up.
I love him so much.
Back at home, after Olive went to bed Jack and I had the best snuggles while we watched MNF. Listening to his game commentary was the sweetest!

Gym.
Luca woke in the best mood. He was silly and happy from the moment he opened his eyes (which isn’t usually the case). The silliness contiued all morning. It was almost like he was too tired to care about the rules in his mind and he felt free. (Since he was up until 11 the night before.) Here is some of the silliness in the car after the gym. Can you even see Jack’s body in the back?! Wild.
The timeline song dance, apparently. (There’s not normally any dancing when we review.)
Olive took off her sleepsack and then attempted her shirt next.
During Jack’s football practice, Lee took Olive and Luca on a walk and I got to sit in silence. Luca did various Jungle Book character poses.
Akela.
Begheera.
Baloo (scratching his back on a tree 😂).
And then he came home and drew all the characters. And he did it so well too!

Jack’s birthday present from Auntie H, Jamya, and Isaac arrived this morning before we left and he was thrilled!
So much so that he shared it at CC.
They worked on abstract art this day. We got to brag on Auntie Abby and her abstract paintings and then both boys created such good pieces! I was so proud.
They talked about lung capacity and did a fun science experiment too.
They played a review game outside to try and let the kids get their energy out.
Then we met back up with Luca for lunch/recess. His abstract piece.
When he sits like this, oh my heart, I loooove it! He’s so cute.
This scene struck me. Jack reading with Luca reading to Olive behind him. I’m so grateful for kids who love to read!
