After church I put my phone down for the day. Lee took these of Luca helping mow my parents lawn. While they did that, Olive and I napped and Jack rested beside me. It was a worshipful and restful day.
Monday, June 26
Jack pulled Olive right beside him at breakfast and she loooved it.
After my workout, I had the boys do the same one I did (thrusters and pull-ups/ring rows).
Olive still loves spaghetti and meatballs. She loves it eat it and throw it. 😏
She’s obsessed with her new ball. She played with it- throwing it and kicking it for at least 15 minutes.
She must’ve tired herself out because then she napped for over 2 hours after! During that nap, the boys and I started our “explorers” theme for the week. We talked about where in the world we’d like to explore. It was really fun talking through and learning about different places together.
I realized yesterday, while I watched her mimic me and stir in that bowl, why she insists on sitting at the counter with Lee while I make dinner. She likes to watch and learn from her momma. The boys never had an interest in watching me or help me in any capacity in the kitchen. Even now, when I try to entice them with baking together, it’s usually a no from them. Maybe Olive will want to.

The boys did a workout after I finished mine. Jump rope, sit ups, rowing.
My friend took this of Olive and I’m obsessed.
Lunch time cute. Olive is just the happiest, most joyful girl.
It was a pretty exciting day here because Lee caught a Charizard on Pokémon go.
Wednesday, June 28
This morning we went to explore a trail near us and search for frogs, turtles, snakes, etc. I thought it would feel special and fun to treat the boys to their first ever frappacinos. They loved them! And they had a lot of fun on the trail too. We met some friends there too which was extra fun.
During Olive’s afternoon nap, we did some bird watching from our balcony. We only saw one bird but the conversations we had/time we had together was the best part.
Jack made us laugh, per usual.
Luca’s turn.
While I was making dinner, I pulled the boys around the kitchen (they were attached to my ankles). Then once Lee was home, they were silly in Olive’s room with him while I made dinner.
I’m applying everything I learn from feeding therapists to try and get the boys to eat new foods. One day, they will.
A quick game of uno before bed.
Thursday, June 29
Gym.
On repeat this day.
After lunch we headed to Pokemon club. The boys get SO excited for it, I love their joy and anticipation. Olive happily walked around exploring again.
While we were at Pokémon club, this little girl named Piper (who we had seen last time too) followed me and Olive and asked if she could play with us. It was so sweet! She talked to Olive, was gentle with her, and even shared her play purse with Olive. Piper is 4.
Olive was walking around and smiling and laughing at everyone and at one point she walked over to this chair, and this little girl was standing beside the chair. Olive touched the edge of the chair and the little girl said, “that’s my chair! Can’t you see we’re playing a game here?!” I was SHOCKED. I grabbed Olive and moved her away and was literally speechless. But Piper looked at the girl and said “um, she’s a BABY!” It was amazing. Sad about the mean little girl but amazing that Piper so boldly stood up for Olive. Very matter of fact. And to a kid bigger than her too!
Friday, June 30
Running day at the gym.
Olive loves pasta with marinara, she loves to eat it and make a mess with it. It was everywhere! Including her eyebrows!
So we took a midday bath.
To end our explorer theme week, we made worms in dirt. The boys loooved it. Making it and eating it.
Luca was pretending to gag because he was eating worms. He’s so fun.
After dinner we decided to meet my parents at their pool for a night swim. It was so much fun!
Saturday, July 1
The workout this day was so much fun! Lee snatched 195# and I clean and jerked 110#.
After Olive’s nap, we went to my parents to mow and have dinner. Sarah arrived earlier in the day for the week and we were all excited to see her. Since Luca helped Lee mow last week, Jack went out immediately when Lee started and was eager to get to do what Luca had done. He’s so quiet, I didn’t know it was something he wanted to do until I saw him immediately sneak out. Then, I saw his smile behind the mower and I could see just how excited he was. He’s the sweetest boy that Jack!
After dinner, Lee and I took Olive home and my mom and Sarah took the boys to the pool. They dropped them off afterwards.
