My friend’s mom made her this outfit. Cute little ladybug!
Olive found her belly button this day!! Such an exciting time. She then found out that we all have belly buttons too!
This is when Jack found his belly button (thanks to Sarah for sending these).
And this is when Luca found his.
We spent the day resting and snuggling since Olive was up a lot in the night.
And Luca worked on creating this jungle book wall. He is so creative and comes up with the best ideas. His wall is his canvas and he’s always changing it. I love seeing what he comes up with.

Jack is effortlessly cool and so laidback, just like Lee.
There’s quite the duel about to happen in the bathtub.
After the gym we tried to soak up our last few days of summer. We did some Pokémon things for a bit.
Then, Jack and I laid on Luca’s bed and we all chatted and hung out together while Luca expanded his jungle wall.
Luca was hanging above our heads and stuck his bum in our picture which made us all laugh.
Olive is in a big daddy only phase. All day Sunday, all she wanted was him. She never sits still with me like that! She sat with him, happy as could be to be still and on his lap for a long while this night.
Luca loo snuggles with me while Jack showered. I’ll take all the 10 year old snuggles I can get!

The workout this day was mentally tough but I got to workout beside my friend who helps remind me of what I can do. And I did it! I hit the goals I set and was able to maintain them for the full 30 minutes.
Last day of summer! The boys played and built an epic fort. I wanted to do something exciting for the last day but I didn’t feel too great because my body was fighting Olive’s cold and Luca’s was too.
I was searching old blog posts to find the pictures of Luca discovering his belly button and came across this. My goodness, my heart could explode! The joy in their faces is the best.
Jack had his first football practice this night. He had fun, made friends, and scored a touchdown. Lee took him while I stayed home to finish dinner and take care of a not herself Olive and Luca.
I was bummed I missed his first practice but was thankful Lee sent these.
Meanwhile at home, Luca and I built magnatiles for Olive to knock over. Olive backed up to sit in Luca’s lap twice all on her own and he looooved that. He’s such a sensitive lovey. I noticed while looking at the picture from when Jack found his belly button that Luca was just as lovey then with Jack as he is now with Olive.

We started school this day. I let the boys sleep in a bit and since it was day one, I didn’t do the gym in the am. Olive snuggled Luca after she finished nursing and he looooved it.
It seems like we always have a toy “hospital” waiting to be glued back together.
We started our first day of homeschool, year two! Luca wants to talk about movies when he grows up and Jack wants to make movies. We talk a lot about movies because there are a lot of movies they aren’t allowed to watch and it frustrates them that movies are made the way they are today. They are so passionate about making movies that are appropriate for kids and adults.
We read the Bible then had a pretty great dance party. It was a great way to start our year. We wrote goals we had for the year and talked about obeying God and the morning went so smoothly. (We did reading and math too, but my biggest takeaways were what I mentioned above.) We finished before lunch!
Once we finished, we went over to my parents to see my aunt and uncle who were visiting for the week. It was so nice to get to see them and see their excitement to see our kids. My uncle took a few videos and was just so cute in how he watched and interacted with them.
Luca’s finished jungle scene.
Hanging with my girl.
I met with some other homeschool moms this night over dinner. It was really nice to get to meet them and talk.

After the gym, we did school and laundry. Jack was reading and Olive kept sitting with him, smiling so big up at him and giggling.
She loooves sitting in the bean bag chairs. She backs up into it, sits, and leans back enough to dangle her feet. It’s so cute!
When I said something about calling auntie she sat right down and giggled with delight, ready to chat. So I had to try and call to see if one of her auntie's was available midday.
Lee took Jack to football practice because I didn’t feel great. So I kept Olive and Luca home with me and we did lots of playing, couch sits together, and snuggling.
While Luca and I snuggled and I snapped a quick picture, Olive smiled as if I was taking her picture too. She’s the best.

At the gym, we did 1RM clean and jerks then we did the workout Grace after (85#, 4:53). It was so much fun. Back in October, I tried to c&j 105# and failed the jerk. This day I successfully hit 110#! I was pleased with that. Pre Olive my PR was 115#, slowly making my way back to/past that. I cleaned 115# this day too, but couldn't jerk it. I need to work on my form and then I know I will be able to.
Luca so sweetly made me this during the metcon. He made a few others for other people as well. He’s so deeply thoughtful.
My friend Krista took this of him holding up the one he made for her.
110# felt good overhead.
I was grateful for the wallpaper in a weekly email I read. I really needed the reminder of this Truth.

My mom ordered Olive new bath toys that arrived and Jack wanted to give them to her immediately. So she played with them over breakfast.
Partner WOD with Lee- running, wall walks, and db snatches.
Olive was so pleased with herself when she caught a fish. She happily brought it over to show me and to smile for a picture with her big catch.
Lee seemed to enjoy playing with it at bath time as well.
Any guesses at which boy stuck his toothbrush halfway up the mirror? It was Jack. That boy!
