Sweet girl watching her daddy clean up the kitchen. We had a slow morning this day and had TBCØ church at home. Pastor Henry preached such a good word. After church we had a really restful Sabbath. We went for a walk, watched some basketball, played, relaxed on the couch. It was a great day.
At bedtime Luca asked to hold Olive. She laid her head on his shoulder and he was so touched/thrilled and you could see it all over his face. She adores her brothers and kept reaching to go back to him, she did this three times! She nuzzled right in again and again and I hope I never forget his face as she did.

My lifting view 😍
I unintentionally matched my girl this am.
Something sweet Luca said to me this day: “mommy, you’re like a rainbow. You’re kind and generous just like God’s promise to us.” He told me I was like a rainbow first and then I asked what he meant when he said that and his reasoning caught me off guard!
This girl really loves broccoli.
We’re talking/reading a lot about Holy Week this week and I started by asking the boys what Easter meant to them. Jack said it’s playing basketball disguised as an egg with Pops while thinking about what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Luca said it was Jesus defeating hell and the enemy for us.
After Lee got home, before I made dinner, Luca and I went for a run together. In an effort to get ready for the Murph, Lee challenged me to run and do push-ups daily in April. I’ve been wanting to run more so I accepted and asked Luca to join me. He did so well! He likes to run fast for shorter distances but he persevered and ran half of it with me before returning home. I’m not sure how far we ran because my watch wasn’t charged, but I’m guessing a little over a mile.
I asked Lee to take a quick picture before we left and Luca stood there a little uncomfortably. It wasn’t until Jack came over, acting silly, that Luca loosened up. I am willing to bet Jack did that on purpose. He’s so deeply thoughtful that when he sees Luca uncomforable, he tries to break the ice and be silly to make him feel more at ease. It’s more natural for Jack, and not for Luca to be silly, I’m so grateful they have one another.

After the gym we stopped at the grocery store for a few things.
Since Lee was working from home, after we got home and I put Olive down for her nap he suggested I go run my mile then. So I did, and it was perfect outside too. Sunny and warm, not humid or too hot. My watch was charged so I wore it to track how far one mile was. It turns out what I had run the day before was actually 2 full miles, which I did without stopping. After realizing that this day I was so surprised and excited. I love CrossFit training for that. We don’t run daily, yet I can go for 20 minutes without needing to stop.
Olive woke from her nap just in time for us to join Lee on his lunch walk.
Post nap cuteness.
Lunch cuteness.
The girl LOVES to dance and shake her booty.
When Lee finished working, we went to the playground. Lee and I did laps pushing Olive and I got to tell him all the things and then I got to play with the boys doing various challenges they came up with.
Found this gem on Lee’s phone and loved the memory.

Gym with my best girl watching me strict press.
I fell mid workout on a box jump. It didn’t feel great, but I finished the workout which I was proud of. I fell on box jump #21/90.
The boys drawings are so good! First three are Luca’s, next three are Jack’s.
Olive woke from her nap with some curls that reminded me of mine when I was a baby. I had curls all over my head and she has some along the edges of her hairline.
My favorite deck of cards, the picture is from 2006. Realizing how old these cards were made me feel really old.
Lee and Jack somehow always win games. Luca and I can’t figure it out. We played a team game of war over dinner and for some reason we agreed to teams of daddy and Jack vs. Luca and mommy. Luca and I lost, no surprise to us, in what could be known as the fastest game of war ever. I would suggest the deck was stacked but I shuffled and dealt!
Before bed, Jack was making Olive laugh such big belly laughs.
After Jack heard about Luca and Olive’s evening snuggle session he kept asking to do it too. We tried a few times before her nap but she didn’t snuggle him like she did with Luca. She did it this night before bed though and Jack was thrilled. He was really hoping I got a picture of it. Sweet boy.

When I sat down to read this am, I startled myself because I could see my reflection in Olive’s toy mirror across the room.
Olive gave the biggest smiles the entire workout, everyone loved it.
When we got home from the gym, Lee pointed out how we matched.
We had a repair person coming so I had to wait to put Olive down for her am nap. We filled the time with a photoshoot.
Jack insisted on taking some too. He cut off my head in all of them, which he thought was hysterical.
I really loved getting to teach the boys about Holy Week.
Dying Easter eggs in a different way this year (in a bag with drops of color).
Jack said he’d like to run with me a few days prior, he even told me he had shorts he would wear because they’re his “workout shorts.” I had told him we’d run Thursday but then realized there was running in the metcon so as we drove home I said I wasn’t going to run. He immediately seemed sad and I realized he had worn his special workout shorts. So I quickly said we could go. By the time evening came, he no longer wanted to go and neither did I quite frankly, but it felt like something I needed to make him do. He’s so observant, quiet and doesn’t always speak up and I felt like if he chose not to go and I didn’t go either, it would’ve been something he would’ve noticed and silently carried. So we went. He didn’t run very far before calling it, but that’s ok. He ran beside me the entire time and I hope it meant to him what he wanted it to. I was tired and a bit sore but since I was dressed and had taken my inhaler, I did a mile after he stopped.
At the last bend of the mile, both boys stood at the corner waiting to join me at the end. It was the sweetest and made me so happy.
After he stopped running, he asked me to wait, ran up and gave me a big hand heart.
My friend posted this and I stole it, that’s Lee. ❤️

Mario movie day! The boys were so excited, they asked me to take their picture first thing to send to Nana to let her know they were Mario ready.
Gym all together because Lee was off. A 75# barbell felt heavier than it should’ve. 😏
Waiting on our Target order.
We all ate lunch together which felt special to be all together for lunch. Then my parents came over to stay with Olive because it was movie time!!
These two cuties didn’t touch their movie snacks until the movie started. We got there early which I was grateful for because it was packed! We got to our seats and had to wait 15 minutes or so and the boys didn’t love that part much. They were so ready for the movie to begin!
Watching them watch was my favorite part. 😍

I saw this and thought it was so good.
On the way home from the gym this day I learned that Jack quietly holds Olive’s hand in the car.
It was cold and rainy here all day, so we stayed in, got ready for Easter, and rested.
